We are seeking an experienced qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA, to join an exciting new global telecommunications infrastructure firm based in London. The Financial Controller role will be responsible for building out the accounting system and the accounting team from the ground up. Local financial / tax / and regulatory reporting in up to twelve countries will ultimately be required in addition to multi-level, multi-currency consolidation within the accounting system. Primary Roles/Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the treasury function

o Facilitating the movement of funds relative to both CAPEX and OPEX

o Ensure adequate "in-country" funding needs are met in order for local teams to operate

o Establish and maintain relationships with banks worldwide

o Design and implement procedures to ensure the safekeeping of assets

• Oversee and manage the financial statement close process

o consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financials

o budget vs. actual reporting

o analyze variances in budget vs. actual reporting and make recommendations

o present budget vs. actual reporting to management and key process owners

• Manage the implementation and maintenance of the central accounting system
• Manage financial statement audits from third party auditors
• Liaise with "in country" tax advisors
• Ensure adherence with local VAT and compliance related issues
• Recruit, mentor and retain top talent staff

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 7-15 years of industry experience
• Multicurrency experience is preferred
• Advanced understanding/capabilities in Microsoft Excel
• Chartered Accountant
